HI, I’M KATIE.

I am an adventure, outdoor, and lifestyle photographer and artist based in the Tetons and Idaho (Driggs, to be specific).

Whimsical, story-driven imagery that’s got heart and soul and great color is my thing, capturing the beauty and feeling of every moment – from sweeping landscapes to tiny details. I bring this idea to both my photographs and my fine art work. With a background in photojournalism, I’ve learned to be the documentarian, but am unafraid of embracing my artistic sensibilities to color outside the lines.

I am passionate about working with stories, people, brands, and projects that value the intersection of expression, the outdoors, and the celebration of an adventurous lifestyle. (Bonus points for a focus on conservation, public land, and equity in the outdoors!)

Across mediums, I work with clients like Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Kari Traa, Mammut, OnX Backcountry, Gnarly Nutrition, and more!

Like what you’re hearing? Let’s work together!

A LITTLE MORE:

I am also a painter and illustrator. In that work, delicate illustration of threatened and endangered spaces, places, and species takes center stage. Both my photographs and artwork are rich in color and texture, allowing viewers to immerse themselves in a slice of time, place, and wildness.

I proudly graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (photography, printmaking) and a minor in Environmental Science. I am enjoying a vibrant career working as a multidisciplinary creative in the world of outdoor media.

Currently, I reside in beautiful Driggs, Idaho where I work as a full-time photographer and artist. I have the pleasure of living in and exploring the Teton Range with my partner, Nick, and our dogs Newt and Georgie. I proudly own and operate a small gift shop in downtown Driggs, Fireweed Shop & Studios.
