ADVICE FOR GIRLS FILM

CUSTOM PATTERN | SURFACE DESIGN | 2023

In 2023, I had the pleasure of using my full skillset on the all-women ski film Advice for Girls. During principal production, I was the photographer for about half of the film’s segments across the Mountain West. In addition to my photography work, I had the pleasure of creating the film’s visual identity (posters, website, and more) and exclusive merchandise.

My goal was to capture the energy of the film for this pattern: bold, lively, and unafraid to embrace our femininity – with a little bit of sparkle, of course. We used this pattern in partnership with our friends at Skida to create custom hats that will be sold on tour, and will brighten up ski kits next winter.

In addition to our custom hats, elements of this pattern have been used throughout the film’s website and media.
